The AI Disaster Recovery Plan
(do you have one?)
Your AI model is in a key business process.
It’s running great. Everyone’s happy.
Until it hallucinates.
Wrong output. Wrong decision. Wrong customer.
Your key process is on fire. Now what?
We plan disaster recovery for servers and databases.
But for AI models that hallucinate inside critical workflows?
Nothing.
No fallback. No human-in-the-loop trigger.
No threshold that says “stop, something’s wrong.”
AI doesn’t fail predictably.
It fails creatively.
That makes it more dangerous, not less.
Before you embed AI in any critical process, ask:
- What happens when the model gets it wrong?
- How fast can we detect it?
- Can we fall back to a manual process?
- Who owns the decision to pull the plug?
If you can’t answer these, you don’t have an AI deployment. You have a fire waiting to start.
